"That's How Strong" (Mixed media on paper)

A few years back God asked me to do a particularly difficult assignment, one of the hardest things I've had to do yet. Knowing that I had trepidation regarding the special position, He said, "I'll lead you in and I'll lead you out. Just like a surfer through a barrel, in and out."

The gold line depicts God's Love and how it is the life line that I held onto all the way through the event. All kinds of emotions, crushing circumstances connected to this amazing opportunity swirled around me like waves, but even in the midst of the darkest moment He proved how strong His love is. 

I felt Him anoint "Your love is strong" by Corey Asbury and Otis Redding's song as well  "That's how strong my love is" to me. It was as if those songs were on loop in my heart moving me step by step through this intense process. 

"Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame."
