Healing for Weariness, Restoration for Hope (Live series: Mixed media on 30x40in canvas)

Destiny Encounters International Fire Oil and Glory event, Thursday:

7 A woman came up to Him with an alabaster flask of very precious perfume, and she poured it on His head as He reclined at table. (26:7)

As I was praying about what to paint, the first image/word received was an Alabaster jar (with multi colors= reminded me of Joseph’s coat of many colors…) Felt God wildly exhorting us to smash that jar like at a Jewish wedding…

The very action is our life laid down in Covenant with King Jesus…it’s a bold, violent act, but to die is gain in God’s Kingdom. There was an overwhelming assurance from the Lord that He sees the sacrifice of the alabaster jar, sees all the shards/dust laying on the ground and just because it is shattered doesn’t mean the dreams He’s put in His People’s hearts are lost: 

Here Him say a resounding, 

“You are NOT forgotten” “Let the costly oil flow!!”

Whoever finds his [lower] life will lose it [the higher life], and whoever loses his [life lower] life on My account will find it [the higher life]. (Matthew 10:39)

Surrender like Jesus is the antidote to weariness! Through this image/word I also heard the song: “Oh Holy Night.” Jesus knows our needs and is no stranger to our weakness and suffering. His Resurrection Power is our peace, joy, strength and victory!!
